Virnika connects to Spillover, the online ordering platform. Phone orders go into Spillover like any other online order, and Spillover sends them on to your POS, kitchen printer and tablet. Your menu, prices, hours and prep time come from Spillover automatically.

Your Virnika onboarding specialist sets up the connection for you. You only need to ask Spillover to connect your store to Virnika.

  • A Spillover online ordering account for your location.
  • Pickup turned on for your store in Spillover, with pickup hours set.
  1. Ask Spillover to connect your store to Virnika

Section titled “Ask Spillover to connect your store to Virnika”

Contact Spillover and ask them to connect your store to Virnika. There’s no API key or password to send us. Spillover connects each store on their side.

  2. Once Spillover has connected your store, it shows up in our list of Spillover stores. Your onboarding specialist picks your store and links it to your Virnika location. We then pull in your menu, hours and prep time.

  3. We go over the imported menu with you, including items, modifiers, prices and hours. Then we place a test order to make sure it reaches your POS and kitchen the way you expect. After that, you’re ready to go live.

  • Menu: categories, items, modifiers and prices from your Spillover pickup menu, refreshed every 30 minutes.
  • Out-of-stock items: items marked unavailable in Spillover stop being offered on the next refresh.
  • Hours: your Spillover pickup hours. Virnika only takes orders that can be ready inside those hours.
  • Prep time: your Spillover pickup prep time. Callers are quoted pickup times based on it.
  • Tax and fees: Spillover prices each order before it’s placed, and callers are quoted that total.
  • Minimum tip: if your store sets a minimum tip in Spillover, phone orders include at least that amount.
  • Orders are sent to Spillover as pickup orders, with the caller’s name and phone number.
  • Orders show your Spillover order number, the same as your online orders.
  • Callers pay when they pick up.
  • Item notes and order notes from the caller print in the kitchen.
  • Tips are sent with the order.
  • Each order is sent once. If the same order is resubmitted, it isn’t placed twice.
  • Pickup only. Delivery isn’t supported yet.
  • Callers can’t pay over the phone. Every order is pay at pickup.
  • Spillover doesn’t accept “as soon as possible” orders. Every order is scheduled for at least your prep time plus 2 minutes from when it’s placed. Callers who want a later time get that time.
  • Spillover sets one set of hours for every open day. If you’re open later on some days, Spillover can’t show that yet.
  • Discounts set up in Virnika can’t be applied to Spillover orders. Coupons, gift cards and loyalty aren’t supported.
  • Orders can’t be edited or canceled from Virnika once they reach Spillover. Make changes in Spillover or on your POS.
